Therapy Services

Our therapy program provides personalized rehabilitation plans designed around each resident’s goals, abilities, and needs. Therapy can be implemented at any point and in any unit of the nursing home, allowing residents to receive support wherever they are in their care journey. Through compassionate, hands-on care, our therapy team helps residents build strength, improve mobility, maintain independence, and reach meaningful goals. We encourage each resident to make progress at their own pace while building confidence along the way.

Aegis Health and Rehabilitation is proud to be a contracted VA facility, providing compassionate care and specialized support to Veterans. With nearly one-third of our residents being Veterans, our experienced team is committed to creating a community where those who served feel respected, valued, and at home. We work with Veterans, families, and VA resources to help coordinate eligible benefits and services while providing personalized skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and meaningful support.

  • “Aegis Hospice was exactly what we were looking for when my family needed hospice care for our mom. We initially chose Aegis because of its convenient location close to all of her children, but it turned out to be so much more than that. Before Aegis, we had tried a couple of other rehabilitation centers. While those places appeared beautiful and clean in photos, the actual care was disappointing and, frankly, awful. We were losing hope that we’d find a place that could provide the care and compassion our mom deserved. From the moment we walked into Aegis, we were greeted by warm and friendly staff who made us feel welcome. The nurses went above and beyond to ensure my mom’s comfort and dignity during her final days. Although she was only at Aegis for a couple of weeks before she passed, the care she received left a lasting impression on our family. I was there every day and saw how the staff took the time to make sure she was comfortable, always tucked in, and treated with so much respect. They truly went the extra mile in every way. We are incredibly grateful for the compassionate and attentive care my mom received at Aegis. I highly recommend them to anyone searching for hospice care for a loved one.”

  • “This is a very hard review to write. My dad spent his final days here. He was VERY well tended to. All the staff was so loving and patient with him. He was there for 4 months while on Hospice. They worked with our hospice company to make sure he was as comfortable as can be. They were patient with us as a family as well. The facility is nestled in the middle of a secluded wooded environment, so he got to watch the wildlife from his window. They even made sure his Cardinal Baseball was on the TV every day. It was always clean and didn't have that "old folks’ home" smell. The director, Jake, was so very calming and did everything in his power to help my dad and us when we needed him. I'm crying as I write this. Thank you for making my dad's last few months dignified.”

Our loved one says the P.A." has the best bedside manner." "He listens and treats me with dignity". The social worker, Director of Nursing, aides and med techs have all been helpful. The dining room has been accommodating when our loved one didn't like the food on the menu. His room is neat and clean. He is treated as a person with a "story" rather than just a patient.”

  • "Our family was thrown into a health crisis, as it often happens for many of us, unexpected and catching us unprepared. Our loved one was placed in Aegis Health and Rehabilitation with not a lot of hope for regaining physical ability. Leaving a family member (especially one whom is so confused) in the care of strangers in a strange place, was incredibly hard. The staff at Aegis, from our first step in the door, have been STELLAR! The care and attention that they provide for our family member has been incredible. He has improved by leaps and bounds thanks to the team that is dedicated to their patients. Not only have they taken care of him, they have been a tremendous support to our family. They have answered every phone call, every email. From the front desk, the admin staff, the therapist to housekeeping, they have gone above and beyond to provide excellent care. Residents are seen interacting with staff, and one another throughout the building as well as outside. Recent improvements to the grounds have created lovely sitting areas where residents can enjoy the outdoors."
